Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria

On September 23, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria Asaad Al-Shaibani.

Following up on previous contacts, the interlocutors discussed opportunities for developing Armenia-Syria bilateral relations, including through intensifying contacts and high-level reciprocal visits.

Views were exchanged on the prospects for promoting cooperation in various areas. Both sides emphasized their readiness to continue cooperation in addressing humanitarian issues.

Minister Mirzoyan also noted the role of the Armenian community in Syria as an unwavering bridge connecting the two peoples.
